Tables sticky, wait staff slow and impatient with a bit of an attitude. Paper cups. Chips and salsa are extra, really? Entire place is dirty, bathroom was just gross. Tacos were good. Salsa and queso were ok.

Stopped by from the beach..... Excellent apps ! Queso dip and chicken quesadilla's. Great sangria ! They serve 60 oz Monsterrita drinks that are very popular and deserve a look. Good stop if you're looking to change up from the standard beach fair.

The worst Mexican food I have ever tried to eat. Both of us got sick about five hours later. Stay away

Sorry guys not a good pit stop. Bathrooms were yucky and the food was pricey and tasteless. I don't mind paying good money for GOOD food but 8 bucks for cup of soup disguised in a big shallow bowl. Service was pleasant hence the second star. Other then that no thanks!

Haven't had a bad thing here yet. Been twice this summer and both experiences where a lot of fun. Definitively get the giant margarita!

Went with some friends later in the evening for some drinks. Music was popping, looked like a blast. Asked the bartender (female, bright red/pink dye job) for a MaiTai, and it was disgusting. Tequlia is not in a MaiTai. I know its a Mexican place, but if you don't know a drink recipe, look it up, don't just throw shit together. I didn't want to be rude or cause a scene, so I asked the other bartender if I could get something else. The first bartender must have heard, so she came over, snatched it off the bar, and threw it away. Then she ignored me. I asked for another drink, and was still ignored. Then I got angry, told her she shouldn't be mad at me because she's terrible at her job. Then I was asked to leave. There were hardly any people there on a friday night, so you would think they'd want to keep as many people in the place as possible.

Went to their new location off the boardwalk on Coastal Highway. It was only open 4 days so there were some problems getting food and drinks to us in a timely manner. A few bugs to work out for sure! Our waiter looked worn out and was slow to serve us and to refill drinks. The food (though I wish it were hotter) was delicious! But I think it sat there waiting to be served for longer then it should. Will definitely try it again next year!

WARNNG! Do not go here!!! It is one of the worst restaurants ever. Bad service, horrible food, and over priced.

Very cool restaurant right on the boardwalk in OC. Fair prices, good drinks, and an atmosphere you dream about. What's not to love?

Besides the loud music playing (which I didn't mind) everything else was a flop. Two kids starving and the waitress forgets our appetizer. By the time our main meal got there, she asked if we still wanted the appetizer. The food was ok, but not worth returning.

THIS PLACE IS AS BAD AS IT GETS. If you happen to be reading this and are contemplating a trip to Guido's, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. The staff is brainless and unfriendly, the food is completely inedible, and the prices are kind of outrageous for what they put on your plate. My experience at this place this past weekend was a nightmare. From the idiot hostess who told us it would be a 20-minute wait (it was not, it was well over an hour) to the brown guacamole slop they served us, it was just a really horrible experience all together.

I didn't eat here, minus a few chips with queso, which was delicious. But my friends all did and they were all very pleased with their food. I did drink here however. On two different occasions. The drinks were good but service was SUPER slow. The last time, there were two bartenders behind the bar, one that was reasonably busy, and another that just kinda walked around and seemed to be catering to some friends she had seated at the other end of the bar. We asked her for a drink menu and she kind of nodded at us and went about her business, but never gave us a menu. They have a wide assortment of beers and a full bar, but I wanted to try a specialty. I got a regular margarita, two friends ordered the swedish fish margarita, another friend ordered a vodka soda with a splash of cranberry, and all nine of us ordered a Dirty Sanchez shot. My margarita was good. Normal. My second one did the trick. My friends' swedish fish margaritas were too sweet for me, but they enjoyed them. The vodka soda was WAY too strong for my friend to finish. He actually abandoned it and went for a beer. And the Dirty Sanchez shots were pretty good, and the mustaches afterwards are hilarious. I would go back. I love mexican food and it all looked and smelled great, but I just wasn't hungry at the time. Maybe next time. But as for the drinks? Thumbs up. Service leaves something to be desired though.

A nice touristy place. The food is ok and the drinks are expensive but that is ocean city for you. The servers tend to be pretty and to make sure your glass is never empty so that is a major plus. Our bartender was also very helpful in making suggestions for our vacation. Basically an ok place to go but there are better in town.

While on vacation in OC, MD, we decided to try this place out. This was a decision I quickly regretted. When we first got to the door, they told us it would be a 45 minute wait, so we opted to sit at the bar, another poor decision. I was with two other people, and the bartender totally ignored me and didn't take my food order. When she finally came back she didn't even apologize for completely ignoring me. I gave her my order, and I never received it until the rest of my party was done eating. When I finally received my burrito, (45 minutes to make a burrito?? Give me a break) it was cold and tasteless, and I did not receive the side condiments I had asked for. When I told the bartender I was unhappy, she rolled her eyes at me and walked away. Another bartender apologized and gave all three of us a free shot, and when I went to drink it, I noticed there was a piece of lettuce and a tortilla chip in my cup. Needless to say, I will never be returning again. Horrible food Horrible service

Holy shit, is this place is ridiculous. It is called Guidos. There are no Italians that work there. There are no Mexicans that work there. All you got is nothing but pasty white kids working here. I wanted to take a picture of the kitchen to document this. To top it off, the music selection was as follows: two norteno songs followed by two electronic songs and repeat that 99 til infinity. Welcome to Ocean City! We opted to get a Monsterita and split it four ways, two of us thought they were above it. It's a huge margarita glass filled with margarita mix and hardly any alcohol. The waiter did us a solid and added some more "tequila" in it for us. But really a disappointment there. The food was sub-par, but we knew the deal going in. The gimmick worked and brought me in. And I will say it's still better than On The Border because that place is gross.

Frozen drinks, margaritas and burritos! Ole! Located on the boardwalk, I stopped in for a couple drinks and a quick appetizer. My order: 'Paloma' - patron silver tequila + grapefruit soda on the rocks 'Perfect Patron' - patron silver, patron citronage and homemade sour mix on the rocks with fresh squeezed lime. Guacamole and chips for 8.00 While the drinks were pretty damn good I wouldn't order the 8 dollar guacamole again. This Jersey girl has had better guacamole but the drinks were 4 star worthy. Also I liked how the joint was decorated---it fit in well with the Mexican theme they have going on.

    (3)
  • Carrie M.

Terrible service, wrinkled and shriveled corn on the cob, tasteless beans, staff members sitting around the bar chatting when we didn't even have napkins. Shouldn't have expected any more of a boardwalk Mexican joint, but don't waste your money.

    (2)
  • Brian L.

Salsas were fresh and delicious. Chorizo tacos were decent. My wife said the fish tacos were the best she ever tasted. A little loud. Overall very good for a boardwalk food joint.

  • John A.

First the draw is the good looking waitresses. Sat near the kitchen and was able to observe the cooks and waitresses. The cooks just look like the were sweating on the food and the waitresses were eating while waiting for their pickups. Bathrooms have cobwebs, booth seats were wet from the previous party. Margaritas are made from a machine and not strong at all.

This is for service-not food. Walked by here so many times and always wanted to try, especially the big drinks. So finally tonight we decided to go. When we went to the hostess I looked down and saw 2 parties listed waiting , 1 for 10 and 1 for 6. I asked how long a wait and she said 45 minutes, almost not wanting us to wait. When I pointed out 2 empty tables by the bar that sat 4 people each she pointed to the paper and said people were waiting. I asked how could a party of 10 fit there or a party of 6 (really isn't room to put together and I've never seen those tables together all the times I walked by) she then proceeded to say another excuse but it seemed like we were bothering her. I left and will never come back. If there is a wait, at least be friendly or try to smile. Was the same way to another couple after us, so at least it just wasn't us. As always, I'll pass on my experience to others.

This place has only opened for a month and has gotten much hype thanks to the douchey hypermasculine bros of the saddest show on the fag-gest channel. The ONLY reason this place deserves a 2 stars are: _60 oz of "Monsterita" for $24.00 (second refill is $5 off). Good effing deal if you ask me. Lot of tequila, too. _Convenient location and fairly new restaurant. Right on the boardwalk. Decent bar. _Rice and beans are pretty delicious. Forget the skinny burrito with overly thick wraps and 2 slices of meat. _Very hot female servers. Very DTF. Tequila does make her clothes fall off. Why doesn't this place deserve more stars: _Full of obnoxious local 21-ers who prance around for free drinks. _Fried calamari = fried frozen dough. _A regular burrito - 70% wraps, 10% meat, 15% veggies, 5% laxative. _Pricier than other boardwalk options.

I've been there a few times because I like Mexican food and it's convenient on the boardwalk. My advice ... save your time and money going here. There are much better Mexican restaurants in Ocean City that are far less trashed. The food is nothing spectacular and it's over priced. The music is too loud to hold a conversation (I was sitting in the front). There was trash under the tables. Rude waitress. I figured I'd had a bad experience the first time and gave them another shot. Not good. I also saw them serve underage kids. I know they were underage with fake ID's because they laughed and talked about it after the waitress walked away. DISGUSTING!

After 10 minutes of sitting at table and never having server come over we left. Also was hotter in here than the 94 degrees on boardwalk.

We were looking for a place to eat and every restaurant seemed to be jam packed. Guidos had some tables open and we are Mexican fans, so we gave it a try. We ordered loaded nachos for an appetizer, a burrito, and tacos for dinner. We were told that the food comes out really fast, so the appetizer would probably come out with the dinner. Um ok? Well 40 minutes later, our appetizer and dinners showed up. The food was below average and the wait when the restaurant wasn't busy, isn't acceptable. This will not be on our list at our next visit to Ocean City.

    (2)
  • Josh T.

The food was great, as was the atmosphere. The portion size was perfect and the monsterita is a must try, probably a good idea to share. The food and drinks are reasonably priced, especially for being right on the boardwalk.

  • Michael M.

slow service, overpriced, absent minded waitress, forgot to bring salsa & chips, then one bowl of chips for 8-diners. One of our orders was incorrect, food was not hot, quality of food was poor. took another 15-minutes before the waitress could get our check together. I wouldn't go back at 1/4 the price. Stick with the OC staples..

  • Rob D.

This place really delivered. There was a big group of us dragging a little from seeing a DJ Batman concert the night before and we wanted something plentiful and a place with enough action to restart our batteries. We got the salsa sampler, you can tell these were not poured out of a salsa bucket, in house, fresh herbs and ripe tomatoes. I started with the mexi calamari, very fresh tasting, not rubbery at all like you can find at some places and then my blackened shrimp was right on, the avacado aoli was spot on. The decor was very well done, the owners really found their inner artist when they designed the place. The drinks were great, we each, about 12 of us, ordered the 60 ounce margarite, great value play. Long gone are the days when the eating options on the boardwalk were slim.

    (5)
  • Daniel K.

From the abysmally slow seating, to the awful service, to the wrong drink orders, to the millennium it took to get our check paid, I'll never be back, ever. Burritos were OK but expensive.

  • Nancy N.

I came here for dinner earlier tonight. The five of us had about a 15 minute wait until we got a table but getting the food definitely took longer. Chips and salsa are only "free" if you buy guacamole or queso. We shared the queso which was ok and surprisingly a large portion. The salsa wasn't bad, it was just less fresh than I had expected. When we finally received our food, my rice was extremely dry and undercooked which was highly disappointing since it was also in my burrito. I ate half the burrito and packed the rest to go. I had the blackened shrimp which was ok and would have been pretty good if the rice was cooked well done. Also, the shrimp burrito is clearly much smaller than the steak or fajita burritos which was disappointing since it also cost the most. I also received a tiny piece of corn on the cob which was quite delicious I just wish they had given me at least a half of a corn rather than a sad inch long piece. Oh yeah, we also got to watch our food for a few mins while they corrected one order and got us cutlery. We seemed to have a combination of two waitresses, one who seemed a but clueless but the other was pretty helpful and kept checking in on us which is why I gave this rating a star higher than I would have otherwise.

  • Thomas S.

Stopped in for dinner without reading any reviews, just wanted to try it since it was not yet open last time we were in town. Had no problems at all with service, were seated right away and out waitress, who had only been working there 2 days, was very friendly and efficient. The big margarita was average, I like them with a bit stronger but it wasn't bad. The food was really good and came out quickly. Yes, it's more expensive than other burrito shops, but most things on the boardwalk are overpriced. It was a good experience and we will go back next time we hit OC.

We got burritos, tacos, nachos and a gigantic margarita and nothing really impressed me or was really tasty and my stomach hurt later.

  • Harry E.

Terrible service, bad food, over priced, weak drinks. One night after hurricane Irene came through ocean city, this crappy place was the only place open. We walked in took 5 min just to seat us. Once seated our drinks took another 5 minutes to arrive. They did bring chips and salsa out but they were covered in some house seasoning that tasted like burnt salt and peppers. The restaurant was not busy yet it took well over 50 minutes after our order was taken to receive 3 quesadillas. However our waitress told us that the food would be "right out" 3-4 times. When they did finally come once again they threw house seasoning all over the food so it tasted just like the chips, salty and burnt. One person in our party hates seafood, but her chicken quesadilla tasted like shrimp, not sure if it was cooked on the same griddle but I tasted it, an it was rather "shrimpy" this made her ill and she didn't touch the rest of the food after her one bite and my one confirming bite. Our waitress asked if it was okay, we explained but she offered to place another order but seeing how we didn't want to wait another hour for her food, we declined. She brought the bill, full charge. Will never step foot in this place again. Save yourself the time and headache. Go to any of the other fine restaurants in OCMD that I have reviewed because this place isn't even worth one star.

    (1)
  • Rachel S.

I am giving this one star because the food was edible and no complaints about the staff. Piña Colada was chunky (ice) and calamari had a beer batter type breading.. Greasy and heavy coating. The fish tacos and "blackened" shrimp burrito were under seasoned and masked by canned fruit salsas. Wanted something other than pizza on the boardwalk but unfortunately did not succeed.

  • Ashley S.

This place is terrible! First off they told us it would be a half hour wait even though there were open tables. then the hostess said they could clean off the open table and seat us. On top of it the food was awful, and I ordered their 60oz margarita for the table and it tasted terrible. The whole table might have taken 3 sips total out of it. I even told the girl I couldn't drink it cause it's gross and she wouldn't take it off the check. She basically said because I ordered it tough shit. The manager didn't even do anything either. I asked if they could remake it and I could instead have 3 individual margaritas and he said they would taste the same so I said never mind. Then they charged me for the 3 margaritas anyway! To top it off, the bathroom reeked and was obviously not kept up with. I'll never go back to this place again.

    (1)
  • Lucinda H.

We stopped in for dinner. We had the chips with trio of salsa which were all fresh and tasty. The 60 ounce stawberrita was so good but we couldn't finish it. The blackened shrimp burritos was delicious and it came with corn on the cob, black beans, and rice. The burritos can also be ordered as a salad. We really enjoyed our dinner. The service was fast and our waitress was nice. We will definitely be back.

    (4)
  • Debbie H.

We stopped in for lunch today and had a great experience! Our waitress, food and drinks were awesome! Our kids loved their tacos and chicken. My husband and I had burritos and they were definitely more than enough to fill us up. There was fun music, a great atmosphere, and reasonable prices. We will definitely be back at Guidos!

    (5)
  • Mandy K.

My husband and I stopped into Guido's Burritos for lunch. Let me just say that I was disappointed upon first glance at the menu. First of all, any Mexican restaurant that charges for chips and salsa loses my vote. The salsa doesn't even taste like it's fresh....it tastes remarkably similar to Pace salsa, which leads me to believe that it IS in fact Pace (or some similar) jarred salsa. You simply cannot charge for chips and salsa if the salsa isn't made in house. The burritos are ridiculously priced considering the very average size of them. For $14, I expected a monster burrito, so we decided to share a chicken burrito. I was shocked when it came out and was definitely not large enough to share and expect to be full afterward. The rice was extremely dry and the black beans were pretty much flavorless. We didn't drink while we there, so I can't comment on the booze....but the Monsterita did look very appetizing. All in all.....very disappointing experience. I would possibly go there to drink, but the food just was not tasty for the absurd prices.

  • Vega M.

The food was okay, super overpriced for mediocre food at best. Seriously, for burritos you're better off going to chipotle . Our server didn't give a flying fudge about us, she even made us separate our own check. Avoid Kendall serving you, she sucks balls at serving. Also, there's an insane amount of flies everywhere. At one point I felt like I become one with the flies and that they've accepted me as one of them.

  • Nicholas D.

Quick lunch and maybe a cold beer you will do ok here with very moderate expectations If you are on the beach and want to escape the sun and or heat you can sit and have something better than an "ok" experience Good fast waitresses and bartenders.

    (2)
  • Lynn S.

Love Guidos! A nice stop to sit and get a drink or a bite to eat amidst the craziness of the bowels of the lower boardwalk. Cool atmosphere - rustic Mexican feel - if you sit at the bar you can be right on the boardwalk at some seats (I love people watching). The one night they were slow we mentioned to the bartender we liked the music and they actually shared their pandora station with me! Great staff. Con: bathrooms are a bit sketchy! Shredded chicken street tacos are very good and a great price - you can get these eat-in or they have a special walk-up window to the boardwalk specifically to order these for take away...I think they're something like 3/$10...just enough food to fill you up but not too much where you hate yourself. A really good flavor profile with a little heat mixed with cilantro, chicken, and cheese. The monsterita is a must if you like a good drink and good times! HUGE! See ya soon, Guidos!

  • Sarah C.

Stopped by for lunch with a bunch of friends after a long night of partying. We were all struggling to stay alive and Guidos gave us life! One of our friends had heard that the fish tacos here are a treat, so a bunch of us ordered the same thing. Lo and behold, the fish tacos were like crack. Fried to a perfection and topped with a sweet mango (?) salsa... Ermahgawd. Mouthgasm. Rice & beans aren't worth mentioning as I do not remember what they tasted like. We ordered this monster sangria (mojito? don't recall) and it was a waste of $. Very watered down with cheap booze and overpriced for the size. We thought it was a pitcher from the price, but its more like one of those oversized margarita glasses. Do skip this. This place would have been 3 stars but service was on point! Thank you, Waiter I Do Not Remember!

  • Beth V.

My boyfriend and I decided to check out this place for a little nightcap and it definitely did not disappoint. Although we did not order any food, we did get the 64oz margarita and it was to die for! Very well made and decently priced. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Would come back here again.

As previously mentioned, enough can not be said about the lack of professionalism and courtesy with the staff of this sub par establishment. We went for a quick Saturday bite this evening. Sat at our table for almost 25 mins after being sat in a near empty restaurant without a single server stopping by. We left...no surprise. Talked with the manager who seemed hardly concerned at the adolescent incompetence in her staff. Good work... you will be out of business soon which will make room for taco bell or another higher quality chain to take your place.

    (1)
  • Ej A.

Sat a the bar and the bartender Natalie looked at us like we ruined her day. I usually get a hi my name is so and so but got instead a stare done to see who greets who first smh. I asked her name first, I hope her and the other bartenders realize to get a good tips don't have a oh what do you want attitude when first meeting.

My wife and I decided to eat here on out last night of vacation after being a little "seafooded out". Unfortunately this was a big mistake. The service was slow. My empty bowl of soup sat on the table so long (roughly 30 min) that it became a running joke every time the waitress came by our table and didn't take it away. The food was a problem of a different sort. The crab soup had hardly any crab and it was watery. My tacos were ok, nothing to write home about but nothing to complain about either. My wife's pulled pork burrito, however, was missing all of the ingredients except for rice and dry pork. When my wife told the waitress that it was missing pineapple salsa, queso, and the sauce listed on the menu, she asked her to unwrap it to see what the kitchen missed. My wife unwrapped it and the waitress confirmed and took it back to the kitchen. When she came back, she brought back what was now a cold burrito, still unwrapped, with some half hardened queso in a separate bowl, a tiny bit of pineapple salsa, and still no sauce. No apology. She said the kitchen just forgot. The bill was over $60 which is absolutely unacceptable for the level of service and food we received. Frankly speaking, I wouldn't pay $10 for this. We aren't food snobs, but I feel completely ripped off. By far the worst meal we have had in a long time, anywhere.

    (1)
  • Sara H.

Worst Mexican food I have ever had. Chips were stale and queso had no flavor and was cold. Chicken burrito was flavorless. It was basically a few pieces of shredded chicken and tons of old rice and cheese. Just gross over priced food.

If you are looking for decent food or dinner, keep walking. Maybe if you're going for drinks it's an OK place. To begin the hostess didn't know where to sit us. Once she did there was still a dirty glass left on the table and no silverware. Once we were seated there are no menus, the hostess waited until another table finished with their menus before passing them along to us. After reviewing the menu the one item that I wanted to order, the chicken empanadas, was no longer available so I ordered the cheese quesadillas and my boyfriend had ordered the pork tacos. Once they brought our food to us by another waitress who was not our server, my boyfriend found a hair from the server in his food! It was clearly her hair since she did not have it up or pulled back (a health code volition in any food industry). After reporting this to the 2nd server that there was hair in his food she walked back to the kitchen area to tell the cook. It seemed like she had been there about 5 minutes try explaining to him why we needed a new dish. The cook did not appear to be happy (I'm guessing she didn't tell him the truth about the hair and instead blamed us...) After a second chance at trying to prepare my boyfriend's dish it came back without the onions or the pineapples as described on the menu.... we did not opt for a 3rd chance. As for my cheese quesadillas...they were okay nothing special. They were something similar to what you would get from WaWa.... After receiving the 2nd plate and waiting for the original server to return (who from my table could be seen sitting outside with a drink talking with the hostess). We asked for a check and left. She kindly let us know that the dinner my boyfriend ordered twice was kindly removed since he didn't eat a bite off of either plate... I would hope so. So if you are going for drinks and don't care about the quality of food or hair in your food this place is for you.

I told people not to balk at a $13 burrito, that was three years ago. They're now $15 and still worth every penny. I had the classic beef this time around and set myself up for shredded beef but got ground beef instead. Once I aligned myself for the different texture it was all good. I expected the salsa to be spicier but it could have been because we had children with us and the waitress made a call to bring something everyone was likely to enjoy. The guacamole was phenomenal and I'm super picky about guac. All told with a free kids meal coupon and two margaritas one with patron the bill came to $65 for 4 people. Not bad for boardwalk sitdown meal and definitely on our must visit list when we come down here.

    (4)
  • Hunter D.

Very, very overpriced for not so good food. A little two ounce cup of guacamole was two dollars and the main burrito was stuffed with rice with very little meat. The location is really convenient though, so I can't really complain about that.

    (2)
  • Ashley C.

I have no choice but to give at least a star but its not even worth the one star...their food is AWFUL & that's putting it nicely. The waitresses are not friendly what so ever! Tacos are dry and have no taste , chips and dip first round not bad but second round burnt and awful. My kids chicken nuggets & fries were way better then our food....so disappointing...this place is only worth their drinks or if you wanna see someone on house arrest working with an ankle bracelet....

  • Maria L.

SERVICE IS POOR AND JUDGING. They first questioned my brother if the ID he shown was actually his. The waitress said, "This is not you" ; I commend the waitress for attentiveness, but it was strange. Then they chose not to let my brother into the restaurant ( we had outdoor seating) , because he "wasn't a customer" . All my brother wanted to do was empty his bladder...I mean he could do it outside on the store front... The FOOD: Entrees range from $11-17. PRICAY Burritos are actually good. Chips are stale and leave a weird after taste...and they are not complementary. Rice on the side, that comes with the burritos, are so bland! It's difficult to savor. Just go to the Papa Johns across the street or the Burger King or McDonalds Past the restaurant. Better food and service.

    (1)
  • Dan K.

Pros: Food came out fast Good location right on the boardwalk Cons: Food was awful - had the queso dip with chips (stale) and a chicken burrito (no flavor, beans were terrible and gooey) Music way too loud There was puke all over the bathroom floor and toilets This place might be good for a drink late at night or if you don't feel like waiting for food anywhere else during the day.

    (2)
  • Brittney A.

Horrible service! It took them 20 minutes to get our order which was only 4 tacos in total and then it took another 50 minutes to get the food. Then... the food was horrible. Still had to pay and only got our appetizer for free.

  • Joshua E.

This place is ok. The service is very young and inexperienced and shows in the flow as soon as you enter. We sat in the back of the restaurant and it took about 5 minutes for our server to come over once seated. We wanted margaritas and weren't really sure what our best option was going to be. There weren't any prices listed in the menu so we were trying to ask our server. I wanted something that was less sweet, and she really couldn't give me an answer. All she kept telling us was that the "Monster-Rita" was the best deal if we each were going to drink two margaritas. We ended up just going with the 62 ounce frozen "Monster-Rita" which was actually very good. It's definitely big enough for 3 to 4 people. As for the food we ordered simple nachos with beef. They came out and were awful. Hardly any chips, no beef and canned jalapeños all over the top with a 2 ounce cup of salsa and sour cream to use. We received no side plates or extra napkins and just kind of hung out until we finished our drink. When we got the bill it totaled $49, $29 of it for the drink. It seemed over priced and not really worth it. The kicker was before leaving we both went to use the restrooms. Mother men's room was dirty but any guy can do his thing pretty much anywhere with limited sources, but when I got out after washing my hands my other half said that she wouldn't even sit down in either stall the women's room was that bad. I understand that the place is on the boardwalk but it was the middle of dinner and there were families there, take a little pride in your establishment and have someone step up to the plate. Will not go back, but was good to experience the "Monster-Rita".

Talk about indigestion! I write this review begging for mercy in my hotel room at 3am. The 64oz Monsterighta is nothing but sour mix and we left most of it behind. Nothing tastes good after this so I can't rate the food. My waitress was very pleasant and friendly. The bathroom smelled like a cat box - no joke!

Just a great lunch and service! A lot of food that was all delicious. Can't wait to go back. Quieter at lunchtime than dinnertime.

Drinks prices are not printed on the menus here and the hosts have no idea how much the drinks cost. We were told frozen Margueritas would be $17 each and when the bill arrived they were $30 each. When we explained the situation to the manager she was incredibly rude and effectively said tough luck. I have never experienced such a rude tone from a manager and I would never recommend this establishment to any traveler.

Such a fun place ! Stop in it's right on the boardwalk. The burritos were good ... very big portions! We got appetizer as well so we could not finish our food. The service was attentive ... the only thing I do agree with some of the other reviewers is that the staff is very young and seems a bit inexperienced and immature. The 62oz margarita is no joke! But a must get when you're the it makes the whole experience!

I am not sure why people don't love this place but they should. I love the food I just had the best taco salad, awesome drinks and I am sitting right on the beach. This place really is awesome!!!

I would love to give this place negative stars!!! Let's start with the good.... Fun atmosphere and quick food service... that's about it. Now the bad, the food was terrible I'm pretty sure I've had better meals at Taco Bell. Doesn't matter if you get it quick if it's not good!! If this place devoted as much effort to their food as they did to their alcoholic beverages they might be considered decent. When you walk to the restroom you get to walk past what they call a "kitchen" which is basically an assembly line of precooked stuff that they just slap together. Needless to say I will not eat here again, but I guess if you're there to get drunk the food won't be so bad after you've had a couple.

Worst Mexican food I've ever had!!! Ordered the cheese dip with chorizo and couldn't swallow one bite!!! My waitress said "sorry, our queso has its good days and bad days" WTF?! She replaced it with guacamole that was obviously premade and had no flavor whatsoever. Tacos and burritos were mehhh... Taco Bell would've been a better choice honestly. Overpriced, sucky Mexican food. The only good thing about this place was the music. :((((

Went here twice during my vacation to Ocean City last weekend and when compared with other places to eat on the boardwalk, I enjoyed this place. As others have mentioned, it's definitely a party - loud music and buzzing - thankfully, I didn't see any puke in the bathrooms! We were also there for lunch 2x during the World Cup which made the place even busier. However, we were very satisfied with our lunch on day 1 of our trip so we actually went back on day 3. Both days, we ordered sangria and margaritas, as well as chips and queso, which came accompanied by roasted tomato salsa. One thing I liked about this place was that the chips weren't greasy (none of the food was really greasy, which was nice). The queso had a nice flavor, a tad watery, but no other problems. The first time we visited, we got a chicken quesadilla, and the second, we got chicken tacos. Both were just fine (again, this is in comparison to other places in OC on the boardwalk). Nothing to write home about, but good portions, decent flavors, and overall a filling and satisfying meal both days. Even better if you get one of the front tables facing the boardwalk, which we did on our second visit - nice to people-watch while enjoying our food and drinks. Service was fine - better on day 1 than on day 2 - but nothing to really complain about. They were really busy, and let's face it - at a place like this you aren't going to get top-notch serving talent, so it's all about perspective. I'd return.

Guido's Burritos was exactly what the 2 star blurb description is 'Meh, I've experienced better' We went on Tequila Tuesday so the Margarita's and Tacos were half price. We had a 62 oz margarita which was pretty good and that is where it ended. Chicken potato skins - UGH, didn't finish Nachos - edible, but I could have made them at home in my kitchen Steak Tacos - flavorless Ground beef Tacos - made Taco Bell mystery meat look gourmet Our waitress was a little standoffish and first, but then she warmed up and was really really nice. If you are walking and just want to grab a drink, I say head in. But if you want any actual food, keep going.

I wouldn't make myself a regular at Guidos Burritos even if I did live within 250 miles of it. It appears to be an okay place on the boardwalk but just didn't offer much in terms of quality. I wouldn't eat there but I would drink, as a group we tried one of their giant 60 oz margaritas. Don't make the mistake we did and get the frozen variety unless you enjoy brain freeze. Drink was strong with a quality hint of booze. As far as the wait staff this place appears to follow the Hooters model, all young girls, in short shorts and tight tops, various levels of attractiveness with these women. Our waitress was friendly and fun enough. Guidos was just okay but nothing special, I am in no huge rush to return.

This is a sorry excuse for a restaurant. I honestly wish I would have looked up the reviews before choosing to dine here. We dined here Monday around 2 PM, I understand it was memorial day weekend and they had a busy weekend but there is only so much that is excusable. Firstly, we waited about 10 minutes to get greeted, the chips and queso appetizer came out in a reasonable time however the calamari took forever. We waited for an hour for our food before deciding to leave. The manager NEVER even came by after we told our server we needed to go and that the food had taken so long. We were obviously not the only angry table as multiple tables were sitting down with nothing in front of them. Honestly the worst experience we have ever had. STAY AWAY!

The only thing that grabs your attention is the loud music playing in the background. Everything else is mediocre, the food, the service and etc.

Been coming here for a few years now for a late night LARGE margarita. Last night Guidos dropped the ball. Our server was aloof and not very responsive and accidentally drew with pen on the jacket of a girl in my group. Their large margaritas are meant to serve 3-4 people and there were 4 of us. We got two of these margaritas and we couldn't detect much of any alcohol. We ended up leaving with a $70 check and not even so much as a buzz for any of us. Decent queso though.

WHERE TO START ?? I'll keep it short. I know you can't expect 5 star service from a waitress 2 years shy of high school graduation; but you can expect to have drinks and your mean together as a group. That was the least of our issues. The tacos shells were stale and the meat (ground) / pork (shredded) were at best a few days old and the shrimp was at best freeze dried. The rice and beans were disgusting and nor edible. All this could be dismissed as bad luck if not for one thing only!!! The manager was completely rude and argued with us literally while holding a piece of shrimp from my fiancées plate that was hard as a rock and dis colored. So much for service and caring about the customer. If you want Mexican food, consider other / lesser street food and save yourself the grief and bad food and service. They act like they don't want your business, so don't give it to them. This meal was the lowest part of our vacation. Shame on Guidos Burritos !!!

they only reason this place gets one star is because i had to click on one in order to leave a comment BAIT AND SWITCH!!!! beware!!!! our waiter greeted us explaining it was happy hour with 5$ margaritas. i ordered one it came was ok not great not good but ok...our food came. again not great not good but ok. our bill came and BAM...9$ margarita. we ask our waiter what happened "oh well the margarita you know with the kind you got and well it was after happy hour". look you prick you TOLD us it was happy hour and you said ALL margaritas. never again! your food isnt that great to warrant a return visit but after being deceitful. forget it come here ONLY if you enjoy paying $$$$$ for shitty quality

This is boardwalk "Mexican food." Ideally for the younger generation. Unless you're into huge margaritas and 50 different types of tequila later in life. What do you expect? Nothing on the boardwalk at the inlet (1-27th street) is going to be exceptional service. Epically during peak season. So once you have excepted this, enjoy a nice cold, over poured margarita so you don't notice your burritos is taking 30 minutes and put on a big sombrero and laugh a little. Who cares? Your on vacation. Leave the saltiness in the water. This place is awesome. Bet you don't eat the scorpion!

The food at Guido Burrito is relatively fair, but the service and hospitality of the restaurant I received was so poor I will not be returning. When I dined at Guido Burrito, I ordered the Mexican salad. The portion of the salad was very generous, but was lacking in dressing in comparison to the lettuce. Before bringing our food out, our waitress informed us there was no clean silverware and we would have to use plastic utensils. We asked for a manager who came out and halfheartedly apologized. He then returned a few minutes later with double the silverware our table needed, which left us questioning if there was a condescending intention behind this gesture. Also, how was double the silverware provided a few minutes later when it couldn't be given once our food was brought out. With the cost of Guido Burritos food, I would've appreciated regular silverware and hospitality that other restaurants accomplish on the boardwalk and proper recognition for their errors. Another displeasing factor of the restaurant was the loud music playing, creating a barrier for communication with your family or friends. I will not be returning to Guido Burrito due to their expensive food, and lack of service and hospitality. I will also not recommend to friends or family vacationing in the area.

FUN ATMOSPHERE! Came here on a Friday night at 11:30 pm. Wow! What a fun atmosphere! Loud music from inside pouring out to the boardwalk. People dancing inside the restaurant and outside on the boardwalk. We sat on the table on the small patio. People-watching was so fun. We were able to watch both inside and outside. The female bartender stood on the bar and poured free tequila shots into guests' mouths. (Thanks, but no thanks. Not for me.) It was fun to watch though. We did order a few margaritas. Pretty average. My sister ordered the Fish Tacos and she said they were pretty good and fresh.

  • Adolfo C.

During experience here I felt rushed by our waiter. We only ordered and appetizer and she was immediately asking us for our main course. We ordered the Mexi-Calamari for our appetizer. These have to be the worst calamari I have ever had. They are definitely not fresh. It's like they were grabbed directly from the microwave. This place is by the ocean so i expected better. Our main course tasted old and disgusting. Nothing about the food was fresh. My gf had the crab cake burrito and the meat tasted old. I have had better burritos at Chipotle. This is definitely not worth t.

Good atmosphere, but don't bother with the $30 giant margarita: 100% orange juice. I shouldn't be able to write this right now...

Haha this place is a joke! The food was just plain awful! Service was good but that can't make up for the terrible terrible food. Over priced for the quality given. Go to a real Mexican restaurant if u want Mexican food. I do not recommend this place for anyone.

  • Daniel S.

This place is terrible. Save your money or go to tequila mockingbird. The service was awful, they didn't check on us and took forever to get our drinks. The food is barely edible. The guacamole is nothing special, you have to pay for the chips and salsa which is free at any other mexican reataurant I have ever been. I ordered the brisket burrito and was underwhelmed. The side of raw rice wasn't very appetizing either. The bar area looked pretty nice and they have like 40 types of tequila but there is no way I would ever go back there to eat.

Came in to try the new location and was surprised by minimal indoor seating. The service was poor and the waitress seemed irritated by small requests. She also did not know what was in the food and I had to send mine back because it had ingredients that I did not like. All of chips and taco shells were stale. Upon speaking with a manager, he seemed to brush me off and not care what I had to say. He was more interested in defending the restaurant and the servers than actually fixing the problem. Overall it was a bad experience.

Ask your self this question, Why be a waiter/waitress if you hate serving? Why does it take 20 mins for drinks (that you don't have to make) just pour in a glass, when you only have 2 tables. Why are these people so lazy at there job? Why bring food to a table and not give the people silverware to eat with. And then ask do you need any thing? Why ask if you want to order food when you still haven't even brought the appetizers. which you don't have to cook. just open pour into a bowl and put on the table. Why Oh Why is that so hard. I guess service is not what it should be at Guido Burrito. The food, tasteless. enough said.

  • Rene B.

The newest location wasn't nearly as good as the one on the boardwalk. Food was great but our poor server Jake clearly was busting his ass to get to all the tables he had. There were random staff just standing around or playing on their phones and the place was barely filled. We were also told outside was closed. The runner that brought the food clearly didn't speak or understand much English as she dropped salsa from the nacho plate on to my husbands plate splattering his clothes with it. He mention it and we got the deer in the headlights look. No Avion Tequila? What?!?? How the hell are you a tequila bar with none of the best tequila!??! Owner was no where in sight. John Tafer would have a field day at this place. I hope it improves by next year when we come back. We gave Jake a nice tip but we were disappointed by what we saw from the rest of the staff.

Food was okay but not very unique or fresh. The bathrooms were deplorable. The bar was cramped and not very clean. Only 2 boys were working in the kitchen on a major holiday weekend. The waitress barely paid attention to our table and rarely checked up on us. Super sized margaritas were disgusting. Bottomless chips weren't salted, salsa was bland, and refills took awhile sometimes. Beer battered fish tacos tasted good but was marred by a mayonaise flavor in the mango salsa. It took 50 minutes to get our check. The main good thing was that inside you forget that you're in Ocean City for awhile, it's strange (in a good way) walking out of the restaurant right onto the boardwalk.

I left my sunglasses on the table we walked back in not 10 minutes later to grab them. Our waitress Britney very nervously flitted around claiming to not have seen them but took my number and said she would give me a call within the hour when the manager came back. We spent two more hours on the boardwalk waiting and never got a call. Normally we would have just left but these were brand new raybans. We went back and Britney again flitted around nervously apologizing for not calling but said she had been really busy (the place was empty) and hadn't found them. We asked her if we could speak to the manager and maybe they could look through the cameras. Well as soon as we said that she came back not a minute later from the bar with my sunglasses in her hand claiming the bartender had picked them up. The margs weren't bad.

The new location near 32nd street does NOT have a telephone, so no takeout. Also they are not here on yelp (the boardwalk location is though) They have amazing outdoor seating, but both times we went (once just for a quick drink, and the second time for dinner), they said we weren't allowed to sit outside. Why? No reason given. I am on vacation, and I should be able to sit outside on the patio. The classic chicken burrito was just average and small for the price. And you don't get chips and salsa unless you pay. Most Mexican style places give you free chips/salsa. We also did have a couple run-ins with rude staff. They seemed disinterested and could barely respond to our questions. One woman just pointed in the direction of where I was asking, didn't speak to me. And she was the hostess. Ugh. Overrated. Average at best.

The group stopped here for a late lunch one day. The guys all ordered various burritos while the girls headed straight to the bar to try out the $30 group Margarita. Between the four of us, we managed to drink it all down, but its definitely one of those things that is more for show. The burritos were a bit pricey (I think it was $13), but you got a fair amount of food. Without saying too much, we had pretty much the coolest bar tender in OC that day.

SERVICE SERVICE SERVICE. We first get there they said it would be 10min. and they were right. Got our both, met our server who we could tell it was his first day, plus he told us it was his first day. He took our drink and apps order. Got our drinks first. These gianoromous margaritas. But still no apps. I asked about taking our dinner order, he said he will check on our apps. ??? We ordered nachos, jalapeño poppers. So he returned to take our dinner order, apologized about the app delay. Then came the apps, but no plates and/or silverware to enjoy out apps. THEN no more 5 min later, our dinner order came out. ?????? How could there be such a delay w/ the apps and the dinners take 5 min to come out? Ughhhh. Because the server took our order, then go to his other newly seated table, take their order then go into the kitchen. Food was decent, other reviewers were right, chips and salsa should be on each table, for free, not $5. And I don't really fault the waiter, but the manager and restaurant should train better. Our REAL mistake was not checking YELP! before going in. Oh and the drink menu doesn't show prices.... $32 for the 60oz monster margarita with the beer in it.

Menu seems a little limited with typical boardwalk prices. Food was better than expected and quite a large portion. The margarita and tequila menu are pretty awesome, that is of course if you can get someone to serve you. Service was slow and didn't seem to care that they had tables. Check it out if you feel like waiting awhile for everything you order, or if you are just not in that big of a hurry.

Awesome & fun place. They are right on the boardwalk..so being next to the beach is nice. I got the nachos, they give you a big portion and they are delicious. Their margarita's are sooo yummy too. I can't wait to go back in the Summer. =)

DUMP. We were seated quickly but our waitress informed us there would be at 25 minute wait for our food to come out. Ok fine, we will drink our margs and chat over some chips. The bathroom were disgusting, throw up on the floor and smell made me sick...Our food took over 45 mins and half of our parties was cold and flavorless. I felt bad for our waitress because she as busting her ass, but it seemed the rest of the staff (kitchen, manager) was just milling around. COOK OUR FOOD WTF. Thank God the margs were flowing so we were ok. The table behind us complained at got their whole meal/drinks for free...I do think they were those type of people tho. Obviously trying to get something for nothing. I wish I had a good experience here....I really wanted to like this place.

This location is right on Coastal Highway. Basically a chain restaurant. No variations in the meals, run by young crowd with little experience. If you are accustomed to good food with great flavor I would look at other options for Mexican Food.

Can you say yummy delicious burritos. Wonderfully tasty. Seems to be made very fresh from very fresh ingredients. Service was very very good and location was sweet right on the boardwalk. At least the one that we went to. Delicious margaritas. Prices are very reasonable. Also the burritos are very sizable and certainly filling.

Literally In Love With The Monsterita Aka What Guidos Burritos Is Known For, But We Were A Group Of 9 And Sadly They Didn't Have A Table Big Enough To Accommodate All Of Us Together In One But We Thankfully Were Seated Next To Each Other We Went On A Saturday Night No RSVP And Were Thankfully Seated Immediately So Thankfully No Wait Like What The Previous Reviews Warned But As We Sat Our Server Came Quick To Grab Our Drink Orders Which Came Promptly With Our Multiple Orders Of Their Infamous Monsteritas So Now On To The Food Id Agree With The Others Is Okay, Basically More Then Half Our Group Finished Or Took It To Go To Throw, We Didn't Feel Right Bothering Our Waiter Who Was Beyond Amazing And Attentive So We Let The Food Slide Since The Drinks Were On Point As For The Checks We Were All In For A Surprise With The Sub Charge On The Drinks Since He Didn't Say Their Was One When He Asked Which Tequila We Wanted Since He Said Their Was Two Options To Choose From I Mean All In All We Decided Well Go Back Just For The Infamous Monsterita

Not sure if the location is new, but we hit up their Coastal Highway spot. The burritos sounded great, the place looked clean, and the atmosphere was fun, but that's where the good news ended. They offer a kids menu, but nothing like juice or milk. The waiter was inattentive at best and despite the place being anything but busy, every step of the meal took forever. One of our items was made incorrectly, an appetizer came out as a meal and the burritos were only okay. It certainly wasn't worth the time or money.

We went in the middle of the afternoon, and it was empty. Yet they had music blasting like we were in a packed nightclub. We had chicken tacos with rice, black beans and corn. The tacos were pretty good, except the chicken was cold like it came out of a can. I actually liked the rice and beans, but did not care for the corn. We were eager to leave and would not recommend guidos.

Had the Guido burrito and it was pretty bad. side of rice was also terribly bland. Maybe if the burrito was 9 bucks instead of 14 it would've tasted better. Service was fine. Would not come back here

Worst mex in OC. Coastal highway location...doubt it will be here in 2015. Service awful. 80s music so loud at 5:00 on a Wednesday that you had to scream to be heard. A disco ball? Really?!? Asked for a skinny margarita up... Came on the rocks with a green test tube in it. Obviously neither the waitress nor the bartender know what serving a drink 'up' means. Stale chips. Flavorless guac. Overall miserable experience. Go to tequila mockingbirds if you want mex and people who know how to serve a drink.

Had a great experience there it is a little pricey for drinks but the food was great. Had a burrito and tacos for the main course. And the guacamole for an appetizer. Can't complain definitely a go to if your in the mood for Mexican food. Ps the staff is friendly as well.

We showed up to Guido's and was told there would be a 15 minute wait so we figured that wasn't bad, so we put our name on the list. The girl told us to stay within sight so when it was our turn she could find us. We were standing immediately within her site, yet somehow she lost us. When I saw a party of 3 that came after us about to be seated, I went up to her and inquired about how much longer it would be. After I reminded her of who we were she said they were looking for us. We couldn't have been more than 10 ft from her the whole time. We got seated at a small table for two (since we were only two that was clearly OK) but couldn't hear each other over the music that was loud enough to warrant the place being a club. Our waitress took our drink order fairly quickly and took our appetizer order of queso as well. When the drinks arrived the pina colada was over flowing all over the table but was actually pretty tasty. My husband's margarita was just like a plain generic margarita. We got our queso probably faster than we got our drinks. It was "eh" at best. For my meal I ordered the Guido burrito and my husband ordered the classic chicken burrito. We both felt our meals were also "eh" at best. The Guido burrito was supposed to have spicy chorizo with peppers and onions and rice smothered in some chipotle sauce of some sort on top. I was expecting to actually notice the chorizo in my burrito. There was more rice in it than anything. And I had trouble even tasting chorizo over anything else. My husband's chicken burrito was bland and over stuffed with rice as well with very dry chicken. All in all our meals were nothing to write home about. We both regretted not just getting the street tacos since the ones we saw come out looked way better than what was served to us. If we went back we'd strictly go to what appeared to be a taco window out front.

Waited all summer to see the new location open up next to jolly rodger. EXTREMELY disappointed. Bad margaritas and very bad queso for way too much money. Guys? Seriously? You open a new place and need to get people in the door. Bad and expensive food and drinks with no happy hour is a recipe for disaster. May try again 1 more time next year if you are still open.

Great location on the beach. You can't beat it. The place is always a party. The music is loud and drinks are delicious. If you're really up for it, try the monsterita. I think it's about 60 oz. and it's good for sharing.

  • Noelle S.

First thing that I noticed was that the place was very well decorated. The decor is very interesting and inviting. The service could definitely be better. We went on a Friday night and were immediately seated in a high top/ bar table but waited about 20 mins to be introduced to our wait dress and order drinks. Our drinks took awhile as well as our food but in their defense, they were extremely busy! Food was great so we will definitely go back and give the service another shot especially to try one of the 64 oz margaritas!

    (4)
  • Kathleen R.

Really not good at all, I'm sorry to say. Guacamole had zero flavor, chips and salsa you have to pay for, fish tacos would have been better on corn tortillas. And the skinny margarita sucked! It's skinny because you can't drink it! And the music is so loud you can't talk to anyone at your table.

Guidos is a great place to have a good time in OC while chowing down on some Mexican cuisine. The staff is entertaining and the drinks are strong. The swedish fish monsterita is an excellent summertime drink.

  • Kevin J.

I've eaten here the past few trips to OC. I really enjoy the fish tacos and atmosphere. Wait times can take a while. I believe in part due to disorganization from the hostess stand. The wait staff has always been very nice though. I'm eager to try the new location and see how it compares.

  • Liz G.

The service is terrible. It took over an hour to get two orders of tacos and a burrito. The food was cold when it was delivered. Three other tables received their food prior to my table. Mind you they were sat well after me. I had to request twice to speak to a manager. I did receive a broken fork before getting a manager. Simply awful. If you like 64 oz Margaritas then this might be your place.

Last year we attempted to eat here and they refused to seat us because their computers were done. We asked if they can just hand write the orders. The response was , " oh no we cannot do that" This year we tried a second time. The hostess cleared a table for the two of us and came back to the hostess stand and said, " we have a table ready however there is one problem . We have no clean silverware!" WHAT??? We said, no thank you and walked away. This is probably a blessing is disguise.

Guidos Burrittos... Allright, this is going to be a tough review. First, let me preface,Guidos is a fun place, located on the Boardwalk in OC, noisy as hell, usually super crowed, the service has always been fast, the drinks have a nice heavy pour, the booths are big enough to fit three adults across a side. I end up here whenever a bunch of friends are in town, like for Dew Tour, and we eat and drink and have a blast, I recommend it for anyone and everyone, the place rocks! I have even been there with my Mother late season when most places are closed, they stay open serving drinks and food, thanks again Guidos. Second, the food, and this is what hurts the E "mancipator". Guidos serves Cheesxican, how can I describe Cheesxican... If Taco Bell had a Mexican Dinner place they would serve Cheesxican, Chi Chi's serves Cheesxican, Rio Grande...Cheeseixan, even everyone's favorite fake Mexican joint Tapatia serves Cheesxican... Tequila Mockingbird too! Now don't get mad at me, I didn't serve it up, and there is nothing wrong with Cheesxican, but take a trip to Mexico or visit Southern California and find out what "real" Mexican is, and then drop me a line. In conclusion, Guido's rocks, and if you need a Chimichanga, or some Nacho's head on down. I will go out on a limb and rate Guidos, as one of the best sit down Mexicanjoints for what passes as a Mexican joint on the Eastern shore, and if that doesn't mean something I don't know what does. Adios.

The "Monsterrita" should be called the "Big Virgin Rita". I went there with a buzz and left sober. Definitely not worth $29.99!

Our family went to the location near 30th and the Coastal Highway and in my 36 years of life it topped the worst service I've ever had. Of the food we got it was decent, but no water offered initially...eventually we got our 1st round of margaritas (good) nothing else was offered. We slowly received our meals about one every 5-10 minutes well after an hour of waiting. Of the 5 of us my daughters HOT DOG came out cold, but by this time she was asleep in the chair (8pm)....my wife NEVER got her meal. The good thing they comp'd it because of the disaster. It was an embarrassing train wreck for the people who run this location. Not to mention we saw two other tables leave while we sat there because of no service. We should have realized this place was shit because my wife and I stopped there the previous night at 10:50... lights sort of on and walked in and it was a bunch of employees boozing/partying away at the bar (I can imagine only free booze on the house). They said the were closed we left incredibly uncomfortable by the way we were caught off guard. If I was the owner I would be very worried about the franchise being run in to the ground by a bunch of incompetent staff/management. I'm still cant believe that actually happened tonight. Go to Mother Cantina across the street for REAL service and drinks/food down the street.

This is a good place if you're in the mood for a giant margarita. My three friends and I split one of the giants ones and it was really good (fun straws never hurt either). After that, I also got an individual Swedish Fish marg and I give Guidos points for this one because I've never had/seen such a flavor before (and they pulled it off). We only got chips and salsa, which was OK, but the other food looked pretty good. If I were to go back, I'd get more than just chips, but for lunch... I wouldn't waste one of my OC dinners on this place. Fun atmosphere, too, but the employees were a bit spacey and not very attentive.

Best restaurant in OC! If you come here you definitely wanna try on of the Monsteritas. It's probably something you're gonna want to share. Or if you're brave enough, get one for yourself. Beware--they're strong.

Wow, what a disappointment! Both the food and service were just absolutely awful. Everything seemed ok initially as we were seated quickly and a waitress was over just as fast to take our drink order. So far so good but that is where the good stops! Waited nearly 25 minutes to get our drinks of which one was missing. After waiting nearly another 25 minutes for our waitress to return I was finally able to inquire as to where my missing Sangria was only to be told "Oh nobody told you, we are out of red wine." Who else would tell me if you are my server? I then politely asked what about a white Sangria and received this response, "well we can make that for you but it really isn't that good because our bartender just mixes fruit juice with white wine." Really??? A Mexican restaurant that can't make Sangria? I should have known at that point to just punt on my pulled pork burrito which was absolutely disgusting only made worse by the raw side of rice that accompanied it. For those lucky enough that received their drinks in my party, all were equally disappointed. All weakly made and mostly ice. Save your money. If you really want good Mexican make the trip uptown to Tequila Mockingbird.

tried this place while on my trip nice little restaurant on the coastal. kinda on the empty side for a thursday night but that was fine with me. the service was on the slow side for only a couple of ppl at a bar. I tried the beef brisket burrito which was stuffed with rice and other stuff plus you get a little more rice on the side, a half of a ear of corn and black beans. not a bad meal nice to have a mexican beer to wash down with it. I'd repeat.

This review is for the food, which was clearly unimpressive. I ordered a $15 burrito and it was pretty bad, the salsa was absolutely terrible (chipotle flavored... I'm not a fan of smokey-heat.) The bathroom was disgusting, sinks were grime spattered. Service was good, only every employee other than our server looked hostile. Essentially: Food is bad, if you are hungry go somewhere else.

If i Yelped this place beforehand, i most likely would not have gone, however my friends said it was great so i tried it out. I was surprised when i saw the rating, this place definitely deserves a high 3.8. But it needs work. 10 minute wait went quick, we were sat in a booth and the waitress was decent. She forgot to leave out the beans on one meal and was a tad slow, nothing too bad. The walls were red, it gave a Mexican 'diablo' sort of theme. Overall the place was a bit dirty, there was food on the floor under the tables among other things. Our water came out in plastic cups, which is really cheap and annoying in my opinion. Any disposable utensils, dishes or cups should not make an appearance in a sit down restaurant. Appetizer was Guac and Salsa, which was delicious. Salsa which was just the right amount of hot for me (very hot :-P ) Any burrito can be turned into a salad so i got the buffalo chicken salad. It was good but i did not like that variety of lettuce in my salad, it was very flimsy, i like the lettuce in my salad to have a crunch to it. The side of corn was delicious. The huge Margarita 'Monsterita" was a bit overpriced ($29) but it was huge, definitely big enough for 3-4 people. I would come back, if they ex-ed the plastic cups, improved the service and cleanliness a bit it would be great.

Has been going downhill since it opened; can't believe they opened a new one on 33rd. Not willing to try that until I hear what others say...much better food many other places.

Great server, but never a good sign when she recommends against ordering something. Got the chicken tacos and they were watery and the chicken wasn't seasoned at all .. I'll never eat there again.

We were very disappointed. Service was slow even after a forty minute wait to be seated . Most importantly we did not have silverware or napkins. We asked twice before our food was delivered and then four times after the food was brought to the table. The silverware came twenty minutes after our food came. The food was cold. This is the second year in a row with very poor service. We will NOT be back

Decent prices, decent rice. They only have tacos (good) and burritos, yep...that's it. Don't bother with the chips and salsa, no flavor! The chips and cheese were good though. Best part, right across from the Hilton. Worth the money but don't expect actual Mexican food.

Pulled pork tacos are excellent. Rice, beans and corn in the cob come with most meals and all all excellent as well. Highly recommend! Great location too.

Great for people watching but nothing else. Cold tasteless food, bad service and bad drinks-stop by for a beer and people watching but do yourself a favor and eat elsewhere

It was ok. Food tasted and looked prepackaged. Not as good as taco bell. Bartenders are cute and service is good.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
